Vissla High Seas Wetsuits: High-Performance Surf Wetsuits for Surfers Who Don't Take Days Off
The High Seas is Vissla's performance wetsuit — built for surfers in the water every day who need maximum flex without sacrificing warmth. Recycled Ridiculous Rubber, Vissla's most flexible jersey, paired with ultra-light Feather Foam delivers a suit that moves with the surfer instead of against them. Available in 3/2 and 4/3 chest-zip full suits, built for performance surfing at California winter temperatures.
Recycled Ridiculous Rubber: What It Is and Why It Matters
Recycled Ridiculous Rubber is the most flexible stretch jersey in the Vissla lineup — more range of motion than standard limestone neoprene, using recycled content in the rubber compound to reduce environmental footprint. Paired with Feather Foam — Vissla's lightest neoprene construction — the High Seas is noticeably lighter in hand and in the water. The trade-off: slightly less raw warmth retention than the 7 Seas. If flex is everything and you run warm: High Seas is the answer.
High Seas vs 7 Seas vs Natural Seas
- High Seas: Maximum flex and lightest weight. Recycled Ridiculous Rubber and Feather Foam. Best for performance surfing 55–65°F. Chest zip only.
- 7 Seas: Maximum durability and warmth. S-Foam limestone neoprene and Fever Fiber lining. Chest zip and back zip. The everyday standard.
- Natural Seas: Zero petroleum neoprene. Ocena bio-based foam, bluesign certified. Same warmth as the 7 Seas.

Benefits of the High Seas Wetsuit
- Recycled Ridiculous Rubber: Most flexible jersey in the range. Critical for airs, carves, and tube riding where range of motion matters most.
- Feather Foam: Vissla's lightest neoprene foam. Less bulk and less drag on paddle-outs — less fatigue on longer sessions.
- Chest-Zip Entry: Minimizes water flush in cold conditions. Preferred for 55°F and below where flushing costs body heat quickly.
- GBS Seams + Neo 3.0 Tape: Triple-glued blind-stitched at crotch, knees, and stress points. Watertight and flex-preserving.
- 1-Year Warranty: Full one-year seam and neoprene warranty.
What to Consider Before Buying the High Seas
- Water Temperature: 3/2 for 62–68°F, 4/3 for 55–62°F. For colder water see Full Suits and Hooded Full Suits.
- Warmth vs Flex: If warmth retention is the priority in cold water, the 7 Seas 4/3 is the better choice. If flex is everything and you run warm: High Seas.
- Sizing: Uses the same Vissla sizing as the 7 Seas. Check the Size Guide before ordering.
