Friday, June 5 — The Cosmic Kickoff Concert

The weekend starts before the contest does. On Friday evening, we are throwing the Cosmic Kickoff Concert at The Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano from 5 to 8 PM. Free and open to the public.

Live music from Primitive Ring and Oog Bogo, with all-vinyl sets from DJ Brindles before and after the bands. Tapas and drinks on site.

Competitors: Friday night is your chance to pick up your heat sheet with your actual surf times, the exclusive tee and to get a look at the schedule before Saturday morning.

Saturday, June 6 — Day One at Salt Creek

Contest kicks off at 8:00 AM with a beach start. Heats run back to back all day across six divisions: 14 and Under (Meteorites), 15-18s (Cosmonauts), 19-24s (Shooting Stars), 25-34s (Rocketmen), and SISSTR's Celestial Spheres division.

The Heritage Expression Session runs from 12:15 to 12:35 PM, followed by afternoon repechage rounds and semi-finals running through 4:25 PM.

Sunday, June 7 — Finals Day

Finals day opens at 8:00 AM with repechage rounds across the 25-34s, SISSTR's, 35-44s, and 45-54s divisions. The Creator's and Innovators division and Pro division both run Round 1 in the morning before age division finals begin at 10:40 AM.

The T. Patterson Expression Session runs from 12:15 to 12:35 PM, setting the tone for a full afternoon of finals across all divisions. SISSTR's finals kick things off at 12:15 PM, with the final heat of the day, 55 and Up, wrapping at 3:10 PM.

Award ceremony on the beach at 3:20 PM.
