Natural Seas Wetsuit — 100% Neoprene Free

      Made With Ocena™

It's always been our goal to walk away from neoprene, but the alternatives have never performed well enough to actually surf in. The Natural Seas Wetsuit Collection from Vissla is different — the first of its kind to use Ocena™, a 100% neoprene-free, bio-based foam that stretches like the real thing, just way better for the planet.

Vissla Natural Seas Wetsuits: 100% Neoprene-Free Eco Surf Wetsuits

Natural Seas is Vissla's neoprene-free wetsuit collection — high-performance cold water gear with zero petroleum neoprene. Every Natural Seas suit is made with Ocena, a bio-based foam from plant sources rather than crude oil, eliminating 100% of the petroleum neoprene from the construction. All fabrics are produced at bluesign System Partner certified mills — the global standard for responsible textile manufacturing.

What Is NaturalPrene? Ocena Bio-Foam vs Petroleum Neoprene

Conventional neoprene starts as petroleum. Every traditional surf wetsuit begins with crude oil processed into polychloroprene foam. Natural Seas replaces that entirely with Ocena — a bio-based foam from plant-derived materials. The performance outcome: equivalent warmth, stretch, and durability to petroleum neoprene. The environmental outcome: significantly lower carbon footprint and zero fossil fuel extraction for the primary foam. Comparing to Patagonia Yulex: Natural Seas uses Ocena bio-foam at a more accessible price point with the same bluesign certified fabric philosophy.
