Our Freelap Ecolastic boardshorts are made for maximum fun in the ocean. Crafted from a versatile 4-way stretch blend of recycled polyester repreve, coconut fibers, and cotton. Styling includes a flexible elastic waistband, on seam pockets and a caliper scalloped hem back pocket. Integrated key rope at back pocket. Cut for a shorter lenght at 16.5”.

In the past, water-repellant fabrics were treated with chemicals known as PFCs and Fluorocarbons to help prevent surface saturation into the fabrics. The problem is that as these chemicals are released from the fabrics over time they have been shown to harm the living organisms they come into contact with, affecting reproduction and hormone systems. Vissla has chosen to move to 100% PFC and Fluorocarbon-free DWR water repellant coating for our boardshorts.
