The Cosmic Series Festival Is Back & And Going Bigger

The 2026 Vissla Cosmic Series Surf Festival Poster was designed by artist Dan Severson

Two Coasts. One Summer.

Vissla’s longest-running surf tradition returns this summer, and this year the map got a whole lot bigger.

Cosmic Creek has been a Salt Creek institution for nearly three decades. Vintage boards drawn by luck. Groms and pros in the same lineup. Live music on the sand. Shapers, storytellers, and anyone who loves surfing for the right reasons. If you’ve been, you know. If you haven’t, this is the year.

Last summer we took the Cosmic format to the East Coast for the first time, hitting three stops across New Jersey. The response was everything we hoped for. So we’re back: same vintage boards, same energy, new faces, new waves. This year the series expands to four confirmed East Coast stops, stretching from New Jersey down to Virginia Beach. And for the first time ever, we’re bringing it to Florida this Fall. More on that soon.

What To Expect

Competitors don’t bring their own boards, they draw one. Single fins and twin fins from the ‘70s and ‘80s, luck of the draw, best surfer on whatever they pull wins. It’s open to the public, free to watch, and one of the best weekends in surf all year. Live music, live shaping, good food, and a community that shows up for the love of it.
