U-zip is a game changer

’m 5’10” and 210lbs with a broad chest and shoulders. I love the range of motion that chest-zip suits provide through the back but often find such suits binding in the shoulders and a major challenge to get out of. A friend who wears the U-zip suit suggested I give it a try; he called it a “game changer” for him. And he was right! The suit is very comfortable, super easy to get on/off, the zipper is watertight, and most importantly, I’m not fighting the suit while paddling, leaving me less fatigued during and after an extended surf. The suit doesn’t seem to absorb much water while surfing and stays feeling light, although when I rinse it and it’s fully saturated inside and out, it becomes quite noticeably heavy (probably due to the fuzzy liner). Can’t comment yet on long-term durability but the materials and construction all look great and are holding up well so far, after a few wears. Sizing is a touch off for me but not enough to be a problem. The bottom half of the suit is a just a little too long for me leaving me a little bunching behind the knees, while the upper half is just about right. Sleeve length is perfect but any shorter would be a problem. The hood is comfortable and works well. Overall, I’m very impressed with the suit; I’ll be adding a 3-2 soon.
