It's not yet cool enough to try a 4/3 in the water, which is 79 F here in Florida. I had picked up a 7 Seas 3/2 Comp chest zip, so was confident that the fit and performance would be good. This back zip has an over-the-head thin neoprene "dam" inside the zipper to cut water leakage. Such systems tend to be effective, and are a mark of quality.

Love it, the new neoprene sleeves are soft and flexible. See you guys at Surf Expo (I work with Surfing Florida Museum).

Ain’t nothin’ to it, U-Zip made me do it! This suit makes me want to paddle out, no madder. It’s insanely easy to get in and out of, no wrestling match required. Doesn’t hold water in the calves like some other suits, and it rinses/dries without any drama. Wearing Matuse and Feral before this, and while they’re solid, the U-Zip is honestly on another level right now. It just feels right. flexible, warm, and super well thought-out. No complaints here. Suit’s epic.

The 4/3 hooded u-zip was everything i expected .
The suit is perfect for fall surfing in Montauk with still warm water but cooler air temps and windy conditions.
The U-Zip is a extraordinary attribute of your wetsuits.
I highly recommend your wetsuits , boots and gloves.

I opted for the Comp to try the suit without the quick dry material and for the price this suit is worth every penny. Super stoked on it. I’ve been happy with all of my 7 Seas Vissla’s, and will definitely look at the Comp as a good savings option in the future.
